IN CLASS: Today we talked about applications of exponential functions.
HOMEWORK: Finish worksheet from class. I will collect these tomorrow. Study for quiz!
UPCOMING: Quiz TOMORROW on Sections 4.1 and 4.2. You should be able to:
- Determine if a function is one-to-one. (Set f(a)=f(b) or use horizontal line test)
- Find the inverse of a function. (Switch x and y, solve for y, and rename.)
- Solve equations involving exponentials. (Get same base on both sides.)
- Solve application of exponential word problems. I will give you the formulas, but you should know what all of the variables in them mean.
